My latest film "JULIA" premiered in the US yesterday at Screamfest and received rave reviews.  So far, we've one "Best Actress", "Best Editing", "Best Musical Score" and "Best Makeup".  Julia will screen again tonight at 10P.

Check out some of the reviews:

Chile is on my list of places to visit next year so I am definitely stopping through Algarrobo, Chile’s San Alfonso del Mar resort.  They currently have the worlds largest pool, which goes as deep as 135 feet, covers 20 acres and contains 66 million gallons of filtered Pacific Ocean sea water.

I’m considering a trip to Iceland and found this company called "Arctic Trucks".  It’s a pretty cool concept.  Basically they specialize in modifying 4WD vehicles and allowing you to rent them and travel through rough environments.  They have made it possible for people travel to and in remote areas of Iceland like you've seen professionals do on BBC's Top Gear, in their journey to the North Pole.

I had the opportunity to sit and chat with a number of amazing students at Prairie View A&M University, which I am a graduate of.   I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be able to spend a few hours with these students and discuss everything from enjoying and taking advantage of the their time in college to life after college and understanding that their goals may not be met over night but with perseverance, preparation and a positive attitude their dreams will become reality.

Thank you to the students and facility that attended.

I'm a bit late with this post but the London-based hotelier and private club, the soho house, also known as my occasional office in (NYC) opened up its new location in the West Loop. SOHO House teamed up with developer Shapack Partners to transform the old Chicago Belting Factory.  Now the old warehouse sports a boutique hotel, three restaurants, a members-only club floor and a rooftop bar and lounge area with a fancy pool space. In total, the hotel includes 40 guest rooms, a spa, a screening room and a a gym that is centered around a vintage Joe Frazier-era boxing ring.

The hit action series Taken, now has a third installment staring Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker, Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace.  Liam Neeson returns as ex-covert operative Bryan Mills, whose reconciliation with his ex-wife is tragically cut short when she is brutally murdered. Consumed with rage, and framed for the crime, he goes on the run to evade the relentless pursuit of the CIA, FBI and the police. For one last time, Mills must use his “particular set of skills,” to track down the real killers, exact his unique brand of justice, and protect the only thing that matters to him now – his daughter.

After suffering a brutal trauma, Julia Shames falls prey to an unorthodox form of therapy to restore herself. The film follows Julia as she awakens to her own true and holy violent nature, ultimately setting off to exact revenge on her attackers, the one thing her therapist forbade.

BaDoink Magazine: Interview w/ movie producer, TY Walker

Now in possession of his own production company, Tycor International Film Company Inc, Ty has slowly but surely made his mark on the industry he really loves. The next 12 months promise a wealth of surprises and acclaim. Horror-thriller Julia is a new direction for Ty, while 2015’s planned release of Carter High, a high school football drama based on true events, will see the fruits of his labor from working alongside actors of the calibre of Charles S. Dutton and Vivica Fox.
